B!SON is a free recommendation service for publishing in open-access journals. It can be used directly in a browser and does not require registration. Researchers can enter a manuscript’s title, abstract, and bibliographic information into a web form without having to fill in all fields. The service analyses the input using semantic and bibliometric methods and suggests suitable journals. All recommendations come from the quality-assured Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The results display journal information such as subject area, language, and APCs. B!SON is publisher-independent and does not store user data.
