The AEA RCT Registry is a public registry for randomised controlled trials in economics and the social sciences, maintained by the American Economic Association (AEA). Researchers can document their study design and share materials such as questionnaires or protocols with collaborators, other researchers, and the wider public.

Registration is free of charge and requires an account. For field experiments, registration is mandatory prior to submission to journals of the AEA.

Selected fields may be hidden until the study is completed in order to avoid influencing ongoing data collection. Confidential documents can be securely stored. Automated reminders support the timely updating of registry entries throughout the lifecycle of the study.
