How to Recognise if Datasets are Reused by Other Researchers

Many repositories (databases), for example Zenodo, keep these statistics. You will find this information on the website of the dataset.

If you make sure when citing from datasets that these are correctly indexed in the bibliography, you will definitely be contributing to yourself and other researchers receiving recognition for shared data, because the citations can only be counted if data citations are contained in the bibliography. Listing data in the bibliography therefore represents an important Open Science practice.
