Label OER Correctly With the TULLU Rule
The TULLU rule makes it easier to publish your own Open Educational Resources (OER), whether they are OER that you have created yourself or OER that you have re-used.
In English there is a similar rule called TASL: Title, Author, Source, Licence.
According to the TULLU rule, you should mention these details directly under the embedded OER (for instance under a photo):
T ➜ Name the title ➜ What is the name of the material?
U ➜ Indicate author (Urheber:in) as requested by this person ➜ Who created the material?
L ➜ Name licence with all components ➜ Which licence was chosen?
L ➜ Provide a link to the licence ➜ Where can the licence text be found?
U ➜ Indicate place of origin (Ursprungsort) by link ➜ Where can the material be found?
In doing so, also mark changes to the OER. This video (German) from the project OERinForm Beratung zu offenen Bildungsmaterialien (Advice on Open Educational Materials) explains how it works.
Tip: An example of how to apply the TULLU rule in practice can be found in the guide for the creation of Open Educational Resources – information and practical exercises for university teachers.
